JailBase Inmate Information & Notification Guide
To start jail inmate search, simply type in the name, choose the county and press “Search”, you can then browse the records to find the person you are looking for. You are free to send a notification about this person, share it with friends, purchase the original mugshots or add it to your favorites.
Three links facilitating your use of JailBase are available below its page.
- “Power User” provides an extensive amount of data accessible to members only. While data on the public site is limited to 6 months, paid memberships do not have this limitation. Members can add more notifications and browse securely with no advertisements.Check Power User pricing or sign up for free.
- “Widgets” can be added to your website or blog, allowing your users to search and browse county jail arrests while staying on your site. There are “Search and Browse” widget for users to page through the most recent arrests for a county and search, “Individual Arrests” widget where recent arrests for a specific name are displayed. Select one widget and click “Customize and Get Code”. Add your location and enter the custom title. Hit “Generate”. Copy and paste the code into your website or blog.
- “Arrested Friends” is activated through Facebook and you can get notified when your friends get arrested.
You can vote for which county you want to be added to JailBase.com through Facebook at apps.facebook.com/add_a_county.
JailBase offers a free opt-out service to individuals who are posted on JailBase.com. Use the Search page to find your record and click on your link. Select the opt-out link towards the bottom of the page. Then you will be given additional instructions. Once an opt-out is requested for a page, JailBase will automatically remove the page 30 days from the date it was requested.
The mobile app for JailBase is now available on Google play and App Store in the 4Q 2013 at www.jailbase.com/mobile-app. Click the appropriate icon and install the app. This app allows you to search millions of arrest records, add notifications and get notified when someone you know gets arrested, browse recent arrests and filter by gender, race, county and date, use facial recognition to search for arrest matches.
